Updates to Dental Headache Care System Benefit Patients/Dental Teams

TruDenta System Enhancements Respond to User Input and Needs
March 6, 2013 (Ft.
Lauderdale, FL) …The TruDenta system for assessing, treating, and managing
force imbalances in the mouth has been enhanced to provide greater life
changing benefits to patients and the dental practices that treat them.
Improper dental forces can result in chronic and debilitating headaches and
other conditions, including tinnitus and
TMJ dysfunction. Dental Resource
Systems, Inc. announced the upgrades, which were implemented based on the
ongoing R&D initiatives and user input during the 2013 Chicago Midwinter
Dental Meeting held last month. Combined, the enhancements will enable dental
teams to more efficiently provide dental headache care and pain relief to the
more than 80 million people who could benefit from TruDenta treatment.
The upgrades include the new TekScan® TSCAN
8 software for enhanced assessment of dental forces. By modernizing the user
interface, the new software provides dental teams with greater efficiency and
improves ease of use. Additionally, the
system now incorporates the new, unique to TruDenta super-pulsed low level
laser therapy device. It is based on technology proven effective in thousands
of clinics in dozens of countries by both medical and dental professionals. Finally,
the system has been enhanced with the new TruDenta M micro-current
electro-stimulator, which is utilized to treat multiple pain areas and is
proven to reduce patient pain symptoms caused by dentomandibular sensorimotor
dysfunction.
“The ability of dentists and their teams to
achieve success and receive heart-felt thanks by providing patients in their
practice with pain-free, needle-free, and drug-free pain relief has now been
enhanced with the upgrades we’ve introduced,” said John Harris, president and
CEO of Dental Resource Systems, Inc. “With hundreds of doctors in almost every U.S.
state now providing TruDenta patient care, we also are constantly developing
new methods to enhance our comprehensive clinical training and positive patient
outcomes.”
For this reason, the TruDenta training,
online education, and clinical workshop hosted at UNLV or NOVA Southeastern
dental schools now allow the dentist, registered dental hygienist, and
registered dental assistant to each receive CE credit. In addition, all
training materials, including manuals and interactive videos, are now available
in the iBook® format.
Dentomandibular
sensorimotor dysfunction is often the underlying cause of numerous chronic
headaches, migraines, and other painful and discomforting symptoms. Dentists
and their teams are in the perfect position to treat patients with these
conditions because the muscles and neurology of the mouth are mediated by the
trigeminal nucleus, the same nerve center responsible for head and neck pain. This
“pain communication center” collects all of the sensory information from these
areas and can be rehabilitated in the dental office.
The TruDenta system for assessing and treating
dentomandibular sensorimotor dysfunction and chronic headache conditions
incorporates patented assessment and treatment technology and software. These
are supplemented by extensive clinical training and ongoing practice
implementation assistance for relieving dental force related disorders. The
multiple examination and treatment devices and modalities, which represent a
proven combination of sports medicine rehabilitation and advanced dentistry
technologies, are cleared by the FDA.
About Dental Resource
Systems, Inc. and the TruDenta System
Dental Resource Systems, Inc. (DRS)
supplies complete equipment and training for identifying, assessing, and
treating dental force related disorders. Headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale,
Florida, DRS has partnered with NOVA Southeastern University, University of
Nevada Las Vegas, Sesame Communications, Nierman Practice Management, and
dental organizations such as the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health (www.AAOSH.org).
The company’s TruDenta system is a
comprehensive care system used by trained and equipped dentists that empowers
them to help the estimated 80 million Americans suffering from headache,
migraine, TMJ, and other symptoms, all of which can be caused by dentomandibular
sensorimotor dysfunction. In addition, because TruDenta enables dentists to
rehabilitate the underlying muscles, tendons, nerves, ligaments, and joints of
the head, neck, face, and jaw, it often becomes the foundation of a dentist’s
overall restorative treatment approach.
