THE CONTINUED PURSUIT OF UNPRECEDENTED PRECISION: KULZER INTRODUCES TEN NEW FDA-APPROVED DIMA PRINT MATERIALS

Company now offers 17 resins for use with its 3D DLP printer

South Bend, IN/8.21.2018. Kulzer, a global leader in dental materials, recently added ten new dima print materials to its portfolio of seven resins designed for exclusive use with its cara Print 4.0 3D DLP printer. Four of the new materials are denture base resins and six are denture teeth resins. The new products serve to further Kulzer’s mission of enabling its customers to produce digital dentures with unprecedented precision.
Kulzer’s dima Print Denture Base materials are light-curable resins indicated for fabrication and repair of full and partial removable dentures and baseplates. They are alternatives to traditional heat- curable and auto-polymerizing resins. Fabrication of dental prosthetics with dima Print Denture Base materials requires a computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) system that includes the following components: digital denture base files based on a digital scan of an impression; a digital light projection printer (Kulzer’s cara Print 4.0, for which the dima materials were designed to work exclusively); and curing light equipment (such as Kulzer’s HiLite Power 3D).
Kulzer’s dima Print Denture Teeth are light-curable resins for fabricating, by additive manufacturing, preformed denture teeth to be used in a denture. The fabricated teeth are alternatives to preformed plastic teeth for use in a denture. The fabrication of denture teeth with dima Print Denture Teeth requires digital denture tooth files instead of physical moulds, a digital light projection printer (the cara Print 4.0) and curing light equipment (such as the HiLite Power 3D).
“Our dima print materials reflect the unique marriage of our longstanding materials expertise and our deep knowledge of 3D printing,”” said Lesley Melvin, Kulzer’s Director of Marketing and Product Management. “This makes it possible for our customers to not only enjoy exceptionally precise results time after time, but to obtain those results quickly and affordably.”
