BENCO DENTAL HELPS PREVENT PAIN AND SUFFERING FOR PEDIATRIC DENTAL PATIENTS WITH PRODUCT DONATION TO AMERICA’S TOOTHFAIRY

(Charlotte, NC – October 2, 2018) Children who live in poverty are twice as likely to suffer from untreated tooth decay than their more affluent peers. Thanks to a generous product contribution to America’s ToothFairy from Benco Dental, thousands of children will receive pain-free treatment.

Over $167,000 in Graham Chemical Articaine and Epinephrine anesthetic was donated by Benco Dental to America’s ToothFairy. The product donation was distributed to ten nonprofit clinics to support treatment services for underserved youth, including Dr. Earl R. Crane Children’s Dental Health Center and the Orange Grove Dental Clinic.

“Having a pain-free experience at the dentist is an important factor in encouraging return visits for preventive and restorative care,” said Richard Cohen, Managing Director of Benco Dental. “Benco Dental is proud to donate our anesthetic to America’s ToothFairy to support critical dental care for underserved children and their families.”

“This generous donation from Benco will enable us to provide comprehensive dental care for children in need and save them from needless pain,” said Terry Davis, DDS, Dental Advisor of Dr. Earl R. Crane Children’s Dental Health Center, a program of the Assistance League of San Bernadino, CA.

“The children and young adults who visit our clinic have extraordinary treatment needs,” commented Misha Garey, DDS, Dental Director of the Orange Grove Dental Clinic, a program in Chattanooga, TN, serving patients with special needs. “This donation of anesthetic is especially helpful for children with sensory issues that would otherwise make treatment impossible.”

“Far too many children have been living with dental pain for a very long time. Benco Dental’s generosity helps our Dental Resource Program partners make their treatment comfortable, which is essential for all children, and especially those with physical and cognitive disabilities,” said Jill Malmgren, Executive Director for America’s ToothFairy. “We are very grateful for Benco Dental’s continued support that enables our clinical partners to treat more children in need.”
