"I Love My Dentist" Story Contest

"I Love My Dentist" Story Contest

Helaine Smith, DMD, requests people send her their stories about why they love their dentist; stories to be featured on Smith's blog through April.

Boston, MA (PRWEB) April 8, 2009 -- To recognize and celebrate dentists who offer optimal dental care to their patients, Boston cosmetic dentist Dr. Helaine Smith is requesting that dental patients send her their stories about why they love their dentist. Stories can be sent to Dr. Smith by email to helainesmithdmd (at) gmail (dot) com.

After seeing so many Twitter and blog posts written by people who were either afraid to visit the dentist or received poor care from a dentist. I thought it was time to celebrate the fact that many dentists do provide optimal care to their patients - and that many patients do in fact love their dentists.

Keep Your Body Healthy . . . Brush Your Teeth!

Contest rules are simple: Contestants should explain why they love their dentist. Stories can be posted via blog, video or email and should include the dentist's name and Website link (if available). Contestants can send blog links, video links and email, as well as photos of themselves with their dentists, to Dr. Smith at helainesmithdmd (at) gmail (dot) com. Dr. Smith will feature the "I Love My Dentist" stories on her Successful Smiles blog through the month of April.

The top three winning stories will be announced on Dr. Smith's blog the week of April 27, 2009 along with photos of winning patients and their dentists. In addition, Dr. Smith will compile a report on her findings that will iterate the top reasons why people love visiting and are loyal to their dentists.

All contest participants will receive an "I Love My Dentist" badge that they can add to their blog or Facebook page as well as a PDF copy of Dr. Smith's popular e-book, "Keep Your Body Healthy, Brush Your Teeth!"

"I developed this contest," said Dr. Smith, "after seeing so many Twitter and blog posts written by people who were either afraid to visit the dentist or received poor care from a dentist. I thought it was time to celebrate the fact that many dentists do provide optimal care to their patients - and that many patients do in fact love their dentists."

In addition to her "Keep Your Body Healthy . . . Brush Your Teeth!" e-book, Dr. Smith has developed YouTube videos, podcasts, and a content-rich and educational dental Website in order to educate consumers about good oral health care. In her YouTube videos, for example, she demonstrates how to get tested for oral cancer and new technologies that allow for painless injections.
