Planmeca presents its new generation of dental units at IDS 2025

 

IDS is the leading trade fair in dentistry, taking place in Cologne, Germany, from 25 to 29 March. The event brings together dental professionals from around the globe. At the fair, Planmeca is presenting its complete product portfolio, including a family of Pro dental units, which showcases the new generation of Planmeca dental units. 

At IDS 2025, Planmeca is excited to introduce new members to its dental unit family, representing the newest advancements in Planmeca dental units alongside its famous Planmeca Compact™ i series. The family of “Pros” consists of the previously releasedPlanmeca Pro50™ dental unit and Planmeca Pro50™ Chairpatient chair, as well as upcoming Planmeca Pro40™ and Planmeca Pro50™ S dental units – offering a Pro dental unit for every user.   

Now available for deliveries, Planmeca Pro50 dental unit is the result of continuous evolution – a dental unit like no other. The premium ambidextrous unit is designed to showcase the next level of dental units – the ones that come with cutting-edge technology, ergonomics, quality, and infection control.    

Planmeca Pro50 Chair is a great combination of functionality, flexibility and future-proof details, all wrapped up in a beautiful, timeless design. It is an ideal option for dental professionals looking for a sturdy yet lightweight patient chair − offering ultimate comfort for both the dental team and patients.  

Complementing these two models, the new Planmeca Pro50 S dental unit features ambidextrous hanging tube delivery. This small and modular unit also includes a console with a wide 12,3” user interface, six instrument slots, and an extremely comfortable patient chair.   

Planmeca Pro40 dental unit represents the new generation of Planmeca’s beloved side-lifting dental units with innovative features first introduced in the Planmeca Pro50 unit. The Planmeca Pro40 dental unit can be equipped with six instruments and offers an intuitive user experience. The unit ensures outstanding ergonomics, exemplified by its wide movement range. 

In order to get most out of Planmeca’s equipment, Planmeca Insights™ IoT solution offers real-time information about device states, usage and maintenance needs. It is available for both new and existing Planmeca devices with easy connectivity – just plug and play.
