Survey: 21% of US adults skip dental care due to cost

The Federal Reserve's Economic Well-Being of U.S. Households in 2022 survey found 28% of US adults did not receive some type of medical care in 2022 due to cost, compared with 24% in 2021 and 32% in 2013. The survey found dental care was most often skipped -- at 21% -- along with physician visits, prescription medicine, follow-up care and mental health visits.
