VITA Excellence Award 2027 Now Open to Entries for Cases
Clinicians and dental labs can submit patient cases for a chance to win a cash prize, an Apple iPad, and the opportunity to present at IDS 2027 in Cologne.
VITA North America is inviting clinicians and dental laboratory professionals to showcase their expertise in minimally invasive restorative dentistry through the VITA Excellence Award 2027. The international competition is open to users worldwide and recognizes outstanding patient cases demonstrating innovative adhesive treatment concepts using VITA ENAMIC, the world’s first polymer-infiltrated ceramic network (PICN) material.

The winning case will receive a €2,000 cash prize (approximately $2,300), an Apple iPad (11thgeneration), and the opportunity to present the case at IDS 2027 in Cologne, Germany, one of the world’s leading international dental trade shows.
This year’s competition highlights minimally invasive restorations that preserve healthy tooth structure while delivering exceptional aesthetic and functional results. Patient cases will be evaluated by an international panel of experts based on aesthetics, function, treatment planning, and clinical documentation. Eligible indications include inlays, onlays, partial crowns and veneers.
The focus for this year’s award is on VITA ENAMIC, an innovative CAD/CAM material designed for minimally invasive restorative workflows. Its unique dual-network structure combines the strength of ceramic with the resilience of a polymer network, enabling thin restorations, conservative tooth preparation and excellent force absorption, according to VITA North America. Restorations can be milled in less than 5 minutes, polished without firing and integrated seamlessly into existing CAD/CAM workflows, helping improve efficiency while supporting durable, long-lasting restorations.
The deadline for submission is December 12, 2026. For more information, visit the VITA Excellence Award 2027 website: hs.vita-zahnfabrik.com/en/vita-excellence-award.
