Planmeca introduces new chairside milling unit with dry and wet processing capabilities
Planmeca is excited to introduce a new chairside milling machine with both dry and wet milling capabilities.Planmeca PlanMill® 35 milling unit processes a wide range of materials precisely and effectively, making it an ideal partner for dental practices looking for an all-round solution for fabricating dental restorations in house – especially from zirconium dioxide.
Planmeca PlanMill® 35 milling unit is an excellent choice for dental practices looking for a true all-round solution to gain full control of the restorative workflow. The chairside milling unit allows dental practices to offer new services for their patients and increase the customer experience with same-day restorations. With Planmeca PlanMill 35, dental practices can fabricate a wide range of dental restorations efficiently and precisely in both wet and dry milling modes, including crowns, inlays, onlays, veneers and up to six-unit bridges.
Equipped with a single high-speed spindle, Planmeca PlanMill 35 processes different materials always in an optimal way. While the unit processes glass and hybrid ceramics, composites and PMMA quickly and accurately in wet mode, zirconium dioxide can be milled dry for maximum efficiency and precision. Changing between the wet and dry milling modes is simple and does not require any time-consuming procedures.
Planmeca PlanMill 35 can also be ordered completely without the suction system required for dry milling if a dental practice prefers using it in wet mode only. The vacuum can be added later as a retrofit if the practice starts milling zirconia on a regular basis.
“Planmeca PlanMill 35 is an excellent choice for dental practices milling zirconia chairside. The milling unit has been available in the United States already for a while and received excellent feedback from its users –especially for its easy usability as well as the high quality of the restorations it fabricates. We are more than excited to introduce the much-anticipated milling unit to other markets as well”, states Jukka Kanerva, Senior Vice President at Planmeca.
Planmeca PlanMill 35 is an integrated part of the Planmeca FIT® chairside CAD/CAM system, which combines the entire restorative workflow from intraoral scanning to treatment design and milling. With the complete system, dental professionals can produce restorations within a single patient visit and increase the productivity and profitability of their clinic using Planmeca products. However, Planmeca PlanMill 35 is built on an open platform so that it can also be used to fabricate restorations, which have been designed in 3rd party CAD software.
