The preparations are running at full speed! 

The preparations for the International Dental Show (IDS) are in full swing. The leading international trade fair of the dental industry that was originally scheduled to take place in March 2021, is now being staged from 22 to 25 September 2021 this year, due to the current pandemic. The planning is entering the hot phase with the start of the online application process. Almost all of the companies that had registered for March have also confirmed their participation for the newly scheduled event. Furthermore, we have received numerous enquiries from companies that had decided not to participate at the event in March, but who now see the changed schedule as an important sign for a successful, pioneering industry development. IDS will thereby be organised as a hybrid trade fair format for the first time. In addition to the physical exhibition, the digital platform IDSconnect offers information on products as well as system solutions, which enable the streaming of webinars, press conferences, events as well as one-to-one communications with customers. The GFDI Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Dental-Industrie mbH, the commercial enterprise of the Association of German Dental Manufacturers (VDDI) and Koelnmesse GmbH are convinced that the trade fair at the end of September will be sustainably influenced by the anticipated, improved health situation and the related relaxation of regulations regarding travel. 

All of the exhibitors have seven months' time until the 39th edition of IDS opens to prepare their presence and their digital participation at the leading global trade fair and push their innovations forward. The postponement of IDS to September 2021 enables the exhibitors and visitors to engage in a physical and personal exchange live again and experience the pronounced community principle, which has distinguished the dental industry for decades. The prospect of a strong and economically attractive re-start after the Corona pandemic thus exists.
