All-New E4D NEVO Scanner

E4D And Henry Schein Showcase All-New E4D NEVO Scanner And Design Center At Business Of Dentistry Conference

Record 1,200 Dentists and Industry Professionals to Attend Conference in Las Vegas

MELVILLE, N.Y., Aug. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- E4D Technologies, LLC, the award-winning developer of digital technologies for dentistry, and Henry Schein, Inc. (NASDAQ: HSIC), will showcase the E4D NEVO Scanner and Design Center at the Henry Schein Business of Dentistry Conference in Las Vegas, NV from August 8 – August 10, 2013.
The conference, which features a range of products geared to make the dental practice more efficient, will be the largest in the six-year history of the event, attracting more than 1,200 dental industry professionals, up from 800 in the prior year.  Business of Dentistry attendees will enjoy the first professional exhibition of the E4D NEVO System, which is expected to begin shipping in September for customers in the U.S. and Canada, and later this year for those in Australia and New Zealand.
Available exclusively in those countries from Henry Schein, the world's largest provider of health care products and services to office-based dental, animal health and medical practitioners, the E4D NEVO Scanner and Design Center represents a new level of precision, proficiency and productivity versus prior E4D systems.
"We are excited to offer this first professional demonstration of NEVO technology to dental industry professionals," said Mark Quadling, CEO of E4D Technologies.  "Earlier this summer, we held sneak-peak demonstrations for industry leaders, and enjoyed rave reviews from the practitioners who used NEVO.  We look forward to showing the rest of the world the power of this new digital technology."
The NEVO Scanner technology is based upon years of experience with powder-free image capture in the intraoral environment and is the first scanner to use E4D's patent-pending blue laser technology, which provides exceptional quality of data capture, video-rate speed and ease of use.
The new E4D NEVO Design Center is a powerful laptop computer that uses high-speed Thunderbolt™ technology*, resulting in extremely fast processing and alignment of scans.
Plug-and-play convenience gives offices of every size the flexibility to customize their E4D NEVO configuration, thereby enhancing the restorative workflow across the entire practice.
"Henry Schein is pleased by the high interest level we have seen for the NEVO technology, not only from existing customers, but new entrants into the CAD CAM marketplace," said Tim Sullivan, President, Henry Schein North American Dental Group.  "This is exciting technology that will make it easier for dental practitioners to satisfy their patients' restorative needs."
The NEVO demonstration is just one attraction at the Business of Dentistry Conference, which features Henry Schein's market-leading Dentrix practice management system.  Attendees will learn how to use Dentrix to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their practices, along with other continuing educational courses all designed to help dental professionals build a better practice.
"We're really excited by the turnout at this year's Business of Dentistry Conference, which is a testament to the richness of the program and the rising demand for digital solutions to improve dental practices," said Kevin Bunker, President, Henry Schein North America Dental Practice Solutions.
The E4D NEVO Scanner and Design Center also will be featured at the Las Vegas Institute on Friday, August 9, 2013.  For onsite interviews, please contact Carrie Nelson, E4D Technologies at 214-432-6416 or cnelson@d4dtech.com.  To schedule demonstrations, please contact your Henry Schein representative.
